The Lady Janies authors have done it yet again!

Like, are you joking? I cannot get enough of Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows INCREDIBLE writing as a trio. I read My Lady Jane earlier this year and it’s hands down one of my favorite books.

In My Plain Janethe readers are guided on an epic journey alongside Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre in this retelling of one of history’s famous novels. Although, I use the term “retelling” loosely in the most polite way.

This book has fantasy, ghosts, love, romance, family dynamics, mystery – even the friggin kitchen sink. The storytelling skills of these fine writers is unmatched in my experience of multi-author books.

My reading journey of this book consisted of part physical book and part audiobook.

The audiobook by HarperTeen was fab. Narrator Fiona Hardingham killed it with her dynamic voices and hysterical inflections.

I cannot wait to pick up My Calamity Jane before the end of the year!

For everyone who’s ever fallen for the wrong person, even though we agree that Mr. Darcy looks good on paper … and in a wet shirt.

And for England (again). We’re really sorry for what we’re about to do to your literature
